1. When and Why did you get into MMA??
I started training for MMA after helping some old teammates get ready for fights.

2. Do you have a background in martial arts, boxing , wrestling etc?
I wrestled in high school prior to starting BJJ in 2006

3. What's your nickname, how did you get it?
I have many … Kryptonite (from frat brothers), Snuggie (From GMan because I like wearing tight shorts), Zulizinho (From Jason and Gladiator)

4. What are your ultimate goals in the sport?
To help promote the sport in a positive light, it’s ability to help those manage anger and PTSD, and compete to continue to test my skills and new tricks

5. What do you think about your next opponent?
He’s a big guy … possibly the biggest person I have fought … Looks like a banger and puts it all out there early on.

6. How do you see the fight going/being finished?
I see it finishing on the ground … Using some of my technical stand up to frustrate him and then bringing him to the mat

7. What weight do you walk at/how much do you cut to fight?
Anywhere over 240 … If I’m fighting at 205 I’ll cut from 220

8. What's your favorite part about fighting?
My pre fight nap

9. What's the worst part about fighting?
The pre fight rules meeting

10. Anyone locally or in the big's that you really would love to fight, and why?

11. What do you feel is your best weapon in your fights?
My ground game

12. What is your favorite foods that you miss while cutting weight??
I don’t miss food … there’s always room for a cheat meal

13. What is your most memorable moment to date in MMA??
Getting the phone call that my first win was aired on Inside MMA

14. How else do you spend your time when you are not training??
With my family and doing homework

15. What do you do for a living besides fighting??
I teach Algebra 1 and 2 at The High School of Commerce in Springfield
