Portland, Maine (July 14, 2022) – New England Fights (NEF) returns with its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event “NEF 48: Heatwave” on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the Rink at Thompson’s Point in Portland, Maine.  The event will be NEF’s first outdoor event since “NEF 8” in 2013.  Earlier today, the fight promotion announced the addition of an amateur catchweight bout to the card.  Nate Dorr will take on Clifford Redman at a fight weight of 140 pounds.

 Nate Dorr (1-0) will look to continue his winning ways in his sophomore fight.  He made his cage debut last May at “NEF 47” in Auburn, Maine with a win over a more experienced Tyler Parent (1-2).  Dorr used both his striking and jiu-jitsu skills on his way to a unanimous decision victory that night.  He represents Acadia Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu based in Ellsworth, Maine.  Dorr hopes for the first finish of his amateur MMA career in the fight with Redman.
