📰 NEWS--📰 AMATEUR FEATHERWEIGHT BOUT ADDED TO NEF 48 FIGHT CARD

Portland, Maine (July 12, 2022) – New England Fights (NEF) returns with its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event “NEF 48: Heatwave” on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the Rink at Thompson’s Point in Portland, Maine.  The event will be NEF’s first outdoor event since “NEF 8” in 2013.  Earlier today, the fight promotion announced the addition of an amateur featherweight bout to the card.  Jonas Ryerson (0-1) will take on John Marcley (0-0) at a weight of 145 pounds.

 Jonas Ryerson made his amateur debut last November at “NEF 45” in a losing effort against RJ Janeczek (2-0).  He will look for his first win at “NEF 48.”  Ryerson represents Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu of Lewiston, Maine where he trains under longtime NEF competitor Jesse Erickson (11-9).
