We are here at the event. We ended up parking a few streets over and thankfully we made it before the first fight started. Warchild did an excellent job navigating us through the mean streets of Boston. The ring girls are looking hot and the crowd is getting packed. The man Pat Walsh helped us into the area with the cage that is set up in the center. The Victory staff is very helpful and very accomodating. The refs are Chris Burke, Kevin MacDonald and one other name I missed. There were some last minute changes but there are still 8 fights total for the evening. The sound in the club is awesome you can hear the announcer very clearly. Doomsday Howard is hear in a pink shirt that you can't miss!!

Victory is hosting their 6th event in downtown Boston in a place called the Club Royal tonight, June 20th. I just got an updated fight card and quickly wrote this up for you all. The doors open at 5pm so I am guessing the show starts around 6pm. The card features a mix of amateur and pro fights and some of them will be filmed for NESN and Comcast. There are 8 total fights and 6 of them are professional fights. At the show there will be complimentary tattoos being raffled off and if you get one of the two Victory tattoos they are promising free admission for life to Victory shows. The After Party will be held at Club Cure hosted by Sailor Jerry at 246 Tremont St in Boston just a little bit before the Club Royale. Let me quickly break down the card for you all.

Victory Combat Sports had another mma event last Friday. We were not able to make it but we were able to get the results for you all. The show took place on April 25th, 2014 and was in New York City. It featured 10 amateur fights and only two of them finished in round 1. They also had two split decision results which just goes to show you how well matched they are. Saturday, Sept 28, Victory MMA was back in Dorchester Ma, for the promotion's fourth show, and second at this venue. Myself and the Artist made the ride out from our side of the state, in good time. The weather was picture perfect, and the traffic was light. After several good rounds of grappling and sparring earlier in the day, were both ready for some good ol' MMA!! The card was just like we enjoy most...not too many fights, and packed with talent! We made it in good time, and were early enough to enjoy some delicious Chinese food (at a restaurant only a minute or so from the venue), before we went in. The venue is decent sized, and they are selling Victory t-shirts, and Smokey Bones BBQ was for sale along with several brews as well. The doors opened at 7:00pm, and the crowd filtered in until the first fight started just after 8:00pm. On to the fights!!

Victory Combat returns to Boston Mass this Saturday on September 28th, 2013 at the Dorchester Armory. The fights start at 7pm and tickets are available here and at the door starting at just $40. As of right now they have 8 fights scheduled and 3 of them are pro fights. The main event with Tateki Matsuda vs. Felipe Lavandoski appears to be off for some reason (most likely injury) and one other fight got scratched. They were able to find Jason Peppe an opponent so fans get to see a heavyweight fight! There are many good fights on this card but the big one that has everyone talking (including us here) is Kin Moy vs. Kurt Chase-Patrick with the 135lb showdown. This will be Victory Combat Sport's fourth event and the second one in Boston. Also on the card there are two Western Mass fighters from Fighting Arts Academy who we will be paying close watch at this Saturday. Let me break down the fight card for you.

Kurt Chase-Patrick Kin "Kong" Moy
This Saturday night local mma fans will be treated to a stacked MMA card, as Victory MMA comes to town with their 4th show, and 2nd in Boston! The main event looks to be a potential battle, as Japanese transplant, and Sityodtong star, Tateki Matsuda fights Felipe Lavandoski fighting out of Team Link. Several other great match ups line the card, including a couple amateur title fights, but one fight in particular stands out to me. Two young, previously top ranked 135lb amateurs will do battle as pros, and I couldn't be more excited to be cage side!!

VICTORY II By Skeet
After all the U-Turns and the city driving. We made it to Dorchester Armory. After finding our way in, and our names not on the list. We finally got to cage side. With a new promotion in New England must be tough with a lot of pressure. So many great promoters out there that have succeded. Yet so many have tried and failed. With their first show happening the night before in New York. They really got there stuff together to put together a show with a good card. Few flaws with lighting and where to put media. Camera guys could have used better stands so they weren’t on there tippy toes leaning over the cage. Wouldn't want to see a camera fall into cage during a fight. Positives with a Great card. With exciting fights. HD cameras showing nice clear video, and replays. Fights went quick. No stalling in between. Twice in between fights ring card girls would step into cage throw some free t-shirts out to the crowd. I would say a few small things to work on. Other than that a good show. I see big things for Victory. Can’t wait to see what they have to offer in the future.

Victory Combat Sports has two shows set for May. Their first stop will be in New York at Terminal 5 and will feature Pan Am Gold Medalist and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Phenom Marcus Surin on May 17th. Most importantly to us, the second stop will be in Dorchester on May 18th, which the main event is Jon Manley against Mike Winters. Tickets are available here and start at just $40. The owners of Victory Combat are no stranger to running shows, they have been running Muay Thai shows for nearly two decades. As of right now they have signed 9 fights including 4 of them pro. They informed us that they plan on signing a few more before the card is finalized. The undercard features Kirk Florian, Kenny Florian's brother and the pro card has some big local stars on it as well. I won't go into details on all of the fights because I am saving that for the teaser. Joe Pingitore is fresh off his victory from AFO and is ready to take on Sean Nichols. One other big fight I am excited for is the main event Keith Berish against Pat Walsh at a catchweight of 195lbs. Both Tyler King and Pat Walsh fight on the same day. One in Boston and one in Maine. Of course another awesome battle is the main event, Jon Manley against Mike Winters. It is a classic showdown between Mass and New York. Winters is from Bombsquad and comes into this battle with a outstanding 7-2 record. He has four decisions and 3 ko/tko in his career. Manley, the TUF semifinalist comes into this battle also at 7-2. Training out of Team Link in Northampton Massachusetts. He has 3 submissions and 4 decisions of his own. His last battle was with UFC where he lost a decision which deemed him his second loss of his career. In fact the only two losses in Winters career are also from decisions. The full fight card as of today is found below.
